I am bringing this back today, with some updates and additional tips so that they are relevant in the tough times we live in today, and are helpful to you as you go through every day.
I hope that this sharing from my experiences of working with many people as a Healer, Numerologist & Tarot Reader are helpful to each of you, my dear reader.
A is for Affirmations
“One of the greatest messages given to us through the scriptures is that God is Man’s supply, and that man can release through his spoken word, all that belongs to him by divine right.”
Affirmations are a great tool in healing and work on the simple principle that The Cosmic answers what you ask for (Yes! Simple!).
Your Life condition, your body & mind all respond to the Healing powers of Affirmations.
Therefore, it is very important to be cautious in the wording of your affirmations – It must be positively worded (& with no negations). The cosmic, the universe doesn’t understand sarcasm or humour, and takes the words you say literally.
Keep in mind when creating affirmations –
- Ask for something similar (or better), and not something in particular.
Never superimpose your will onto God. - Create Affirmations (affirmative statements) which declare what you want as if it already exists in your Life.
And always end with, Thank you and Thy will be done.
In Training to be a Healing practitioner, I learnt the concept of
T -> F -> A.
Thoughts lead to feelings which lead to actions!
I have found that WHAT we THINK plays a great role in what we attract in life and how we react to our environment, which in turn attracts more of what we expect from Life.
As human beings, we speak out (loudly & repeatedly) whatever we feel and think, and by continuously speaking about the negative in life and the world, we are giving the universe the message that, that’s what we want more of!
We must STOP using negative sentences in our lives and bring in the Healing powers of Affirmations to attract the Life we want and take actions consistent with our thoughts for our future.
Remember: Self-approval and self-acceptance are the key to positive changes!
Read out your affirmations to yourself (or in the mirror) every morning and night, and watch the cosmic make those a reality in your life.
You can write the affirmations in your own words.
Here’s one of my favourite affirmations:
“Thank you God That I am Healthy and Happy
in perfect ways. So be it. Thy will be done.”
Have you experienced the Healing powers of Affirmations in your life?

This is a kickass theme, Ish!
And you start with a bang too! I use Affirmations and believe in the power of them. Thanks for sharing your favourite one with us.
Thanks M! I take it as a great sign that you are my first visitorfor this challenge & what a affirmative and positive feedback – Thank you 🙂
I can completely relate to your theme. Affirmations have helped me cope with my tough challenges, keeping the hope alive. Good start to #AtoZChallenge and look forward to more reading. Stay connected.
Thank you 🙂
You know, I believe in it.. that what one says or thinks, the energy flows in the same way. But somewhere in my heart, whenever something big or huge comes up, I feel I won’t be able to do it and then I can’t 🙁 I try not to think that way but it just sub consciously happens 🙁
I’ll be looking forward to your posts for more mindfulness!
Cheers

Dear Geet – The Cosmic takes its cues from you. If you are doubting yourself, and don’t believe that your wish will be fulfilled, then the cosmic listens to you and understands that you don’t want the wish to be fulfilled since that’s what you are focusing on. Stay Positive! Thank you for visiting.
Ishieta, I believe in every word of yours. I am thankful to God so many affirmations that have been fulfilled. One such was to be popular in writing before I earn my writing. And that happened because I kept believing that it is happening and it happened. We are what we think!
So true! Thanks for visiting.
What a lovely topic you have chosen to begin with. The power of affirmation is what moves the world around. Good luck!
Thank you Aarushi! Indeed 🙂

Thank you Z! This is very encouraging 🙂
I loved it as it is very positive. Anything which helps you to stay positive and think positive is great. Affirmation helps us all in many ways.
I am so happy you found it to be a positive post! Thank you Deepa 🙂
Interesting. I’ve never been very consistent with affirmations, but I’ve them to be helpful to change my perspective.
Yes, and half the battle is how we think about stuff. Thank you S for dropping in!
What a fascinating concept. I believe I’ve read about the immense positive effect of doing something as simple as cutting out negative sentences from speech. Loved reading this!
Thank you Sreesha 🙂 Am so glad you enjoyed this!
If you believe the phrase you are what you think, then life truly stems from your thoughts. But we cannot rely purely on thoughts; we must translate thoughts into words and eventually into actions in order to manifest our intentions. This means we have to be very careful with our words, choosing to speak only those which work towards our benefit and cultivate our highest good. Affirmations help purify our thoughts and restructure the dynamic of our brains so that we truly begin to think nothing is impossible.
Very well summarized! Thank you for visiting 🙂
Ish this is a positive theme and on a positive note I like the affirmations! All the best for a to z
Thank you Tina 🙂
Excellent choice on theme. I agree that our thoughts can cause things to happen so I try not to worry about things for fear of them happening.
Do try Affirmations in your Life – you can replace the sentences you think to yourself in worry with affirmative language – & then see the change 🙂 Thank you for visiting.
Seriously !!! I loved your theme.. and it indeed bringing all positivity 🙂
I am so happy to read your comment 🙂 Thank you Ruchie.
Some affirmations can be helpful, sometimes, for some people. But here’s a caveat – and an idea: https://psychcentral.com/blog/archives/2014/03/20/why-positive-affirmations-dont-work/
I don’t agree that they don’t work; I think they don’t ALWAYS work. And I think that for people struggling with them, this information can be helpful – lest they spiral into more negativity, thinking that there’s something wrong with them or that they’re “doing it wrong,” else the affirmations would be working.
Thanks for visiting Holly. What I have learnt is that just making a wish or saying an affirmation is not enough, one also has to move in that direction with consistent actions. Affirmations are excellent in removing doubts and give us that boost as they tap into the Cosmic consciousness.
Maybe. But I think the point of the article I linked to is that they’re NOT that excellent in removing doubts; for some, they’re an invitation to argue, mentally. It’s interesting research into how the brain works, and some of the assumptions we’ve had about affirmations may not be true.
Affirmations are a super way of inducing positivity into our lives…. do we have to write them down or can we just keep repeating them in our head?
Thank you Ankita for raising this important point – Do whichever works for you – the power lies in the belief and repetition of the affirmation. I personally would suggest that you do write it down once, and then repeat the exact same words – whether you say them in your hear or out loud or write them down is completely your persona choice. Thank you for visiting.
Affirmations will bring positivity in our life. What we think will be reflected in our personality thanks for sharing such information with us. It’ll Work wonders
Thank you for visiting Bushra 🙂
Self approval and self acceptance is, at times, difficult to do…especially when you were raised by parents who never thought you were enough. However, it’s something we must do for ourselves. I work at it every day – and it is a challenge – but I’m getting there.
Dear Eydie – You have a very positive and affirming approach – Don’t Give Up. Did you know, that you can also do an affirmation to improve your relationship with them. We can’t change the past, but we can choose the present and future we are designing for ourselves. All the Best. Thank you for visiting.
Brilliant post! Love the reminder that it’s not about imposing our will on God. It’s about retraining our brain to be open. Thank you! Look forward to reading more.
Thank you Aprille 🙂
This concept is in alignment with a future post of mine about gratitude.
Thank you Lillian 🙂
This is a good reminder because I am not good with affirmations. I will remember “thoughts-feelings-actions.”
Thank you Alice 🙂 TFA is one of my favorites.
Great post! I have learned the power of affirmations in my life. Looking forward to the whole series.
Thank you Nichole 🙂 appreciate it!
One of your favorite affirmation is one of mine as well. Thank you, Ishieta, for this first nugget of healing. Will come back on Monday/Tuesday for B 😉

This is a really interesting topic, and I cannot wait to read more of your posts in April.
I think, no matter what your religious beliefs, that positive affirmation has a lot of power. If you keep repeating something often enough, you’ll begin to believe it. Plus, if you approach something with a positive mid-frame and self-belief, you’re more likely to succeed.
You have absolutely got it bang on! 🙂 Thanks for visiting Clare.
I’ve never tried affirmations, but I like the idea of them.

Thanks for visiting Patricia 🙂 I Hope you will try them out – I’d love to hear about your experiences of it.
Great insight! I have read many times that what you think is what you attract. And that having positive affirmations helps you succeed. I am yet to try that consciously though. This is a trigger for me to give it a try.
Best of Luck Sampada 🙂
Great insights! This post is a trigger for me to give it a try!
I am so glad! Please do – I’d love to hear about your experiences 🙂 Thanks for visiting.
Hey Ish – what a fabulous start to the challenge with such an amazing secret! Affirmations are my all time go -to funda and yes they REALLY work and how!
Loved the way you have written about them. I need to discuss this with you when we meet next.
You are off to a flying start darling; cant wait to see your next post!! Hugs and cheers
Ish, I have experienced the healing power of affirmation for over a decade now and still continue to use them profusely when I chant. This is such a wonderful reminder to everyone that we can change our life with posture thoughts and affirmations. I’m so glad you are doing such a wonderful theme!!!

I used to be a competitive athlete and did some work on visualization – similar to affirmations. So I do believe in the power of this! She believed she could, so she did and all that. A great start to your A to Z!
Thank you Louise 🙂 I didn’t know you were an athlete too 🙂 All these are great tools to get one going.
Agreed! I remember doing a 2 day “Silva Mind Method” program in my early teens. We giggled through much of it then – but the overall message and tools stuck, so it worked!
I am glad 🙂
An interesting write-up! This is something we all learnt, but ,i at least, lost along the way. Thank you for reminding.
This post couldn’t have come at a more opportune time. I had a lot of negativity, and I belatedly realized this. Hence, in 2018, I have pledged to be a more positive and affirmative person. Working on it, one day at a time.
This is very nice information. I always heard about affirmations but never knew the nuances about asking.
So many times in my life I have experienced the power of affirmative statements. One should always utter good words, we never know what will come true.
Yes I agree. Affirmations are most important to build your spirit, confidence and motivation. Without it you may be just living without really living.
Yes I agree that affirmations have such a positive and huge impact on our mental health. specially during recent pandemic situation, they can be a great way to stay calm and start our day with good mood and positivity.
This is such an apt post for this difficult time we are all going through. I do practice affirmations and will incorporate your suggestions into my practice too.
Never superimpose your will on god is a great statement. I liked the way you have explained it and I will practice it. Much needed in current times
This is such a powerful topic to begin with, the power of affirmation is much needed .. Good luck to you , I love the write up , cant wait for the next blog
Being positive and affirming yourself can be so powerful. One has to go through such affirmations on a daily basis to keep their mind healthy.
Positive affirmations works only when you truly believe in them. To stay positive all the time is not easy but positive affirmations helps to sail through your tough time. I truly Believe in them and I do practice daily.
I too believe in the power of affirmation and always say and think of positive things to avoid any negative vibes around. I think it really works and helps if your seriously believe in it.
I have always believed in karma and the power of affirmations more than any religion orthodoxy. I too practice affirmations and many times I try to do it in the form as in a mental talking with God. I will try writing them down also.
I personally believe on karma and the powe of affirmation. You have choosen a really great topic . Very nice post.
To keep the affirmations realistic is very important as you said. The power of positive affirmations and the effect they can have in uplifting the morale is unbelievable.
Affirmations and use of positive words in life indeed helps a lot. I also try to write the affirmations and my emotions on a page daily to attract positivity
I deeply believe in the power of affirmations and keep telling myself positive things whenever I’m feeling low. They have the power to heal us.
I also completely believe in affirmations and its power , you have very well explained its relation with healing.
I completely believe in affirmations. I think they are the best. You explained it so well. Definitely bookmarking this one! Thank you for sharing this.
