Spread the love

Welcome to A to Z of Healing with Isheeria’s Healing Circles.

Health for both mind and body comes from not mourning over the past, not worrying about the future,
but to live the present moment wisely.

Today is the final day, and the final post in this series of #AtoZHealing for 26 Alphabet posts in the #AtoZChallenge  and part of the UBC Challenge all through April 2017.

Thank you everyone for your visits, comments, encouragements, shares and the love! Thank you for welcoming me into your community and hearts.

Big thanks to the Team at Blogchatter for their support and constant encouragement, and making me a part of their warm community.

[Z] is for ZEN – The Zen Way of Life

Throughout in this series, I have focused on various tools which help you to Heal yourself – Heal your mind, body, and spirit.
The Zen way of Life is a wonderful way to Live a Life in balance.

It is such a vast and wonderful topic, that I can only hope to share a glance with you all from my own experiences, and hope that like with all other alphabets, my post here on Z will catch your interest to explore further.

Do you remember all those Karate Kid movies (& other martial arts films), the funniest scenes I remember was when the kid was made to do the same thing over and over and over again (wax on, wax off), which though hilarious and mindless, later turned into the meditative training needed to develop awareness, accuracy, speed and strength – In other words, mindfulness – in thoughts and actions.

As Gene Clark said :
Zen is not an art, it’s not a religion. It’s a realisation.

The Zen Way of Life is living live mindfully, to be in the HERE and NOW. To be completely engaged with what you are doing in the HERE and NOW.

It is to discover, to realise, the true meaning of Life = to just be alive.

Everyone who lives in this world – women, men, educated, un-educated, rich, poor, sick, healthy – all have goodness, beauty and truth. Don’t go looking outside yourself anymore, because the things you are looking for are already there within you. Return and be in touch with yourself properly, with the beauty, goodness and truth within you, have FAITH in yourself – then, you will have happiness, you will have peace.

By bringing in some Zen into your life, you find more mindfulness and tranquility in your lives. You create a calm, peace-filled, and joyous environment.

Zen has always been a practical philosophy, and is seen in the practices of the Martial Art forms ( Judo, Karate, Kyudo, Kendo, etc)  and the Aesthetic Art forms (such as: Chado, Kado, Hitsuzendu), which help one to reach the total emptiness of mind & total state of focus (of both the mind and the body). You can also embrace any of these practices to start bringing more ZEN into your lives.

One of my favourite Zen Quotes, from my favourite Genius –

There are only two ways to live your life.
One is as if nothing is a miracle.
The other is as if everything is a miracle.
–
Albert Einstein

Now if we could embrace this as a way of being, of perceiving our world – how wonderful would it be.

In parting, I wish you all the wisdom of the Budha, and the joy of experiencing the Zen way of Life.
