Welcome to my post on this Thankful Thursday as I talk about 3 (only 3) of my favorite foods!
- I am Thankful for Indian Street Food!
The joy of Gol-gappas and aloo tikki is equal to none! There are days when I literally craze them – and then if i deny myself (diet, weather, busy), I actually DREAM about them 🙂
Gol Gappas are loved by many in our country and it is made differently in different regions in India!
I know in Kolkata they are called Puchkas and make with a very spicy filling.
In Hyderabad, the filling is hot chholaas.
My favourite, is Dilli–Wale Gol-gappas – The filling of potatoes and chanas, dipped in chilled water which just bursts into my mouth – I love it!
- I am Thankful for Pickles!
There is just something wonderful about pickles – they add that shot of YUM to almost every meal.
Some of my most wonderful memories are of pickle making in my home with my family!
(P.S: Pickles are a food type… in my food pyramid )
This year I hope to learn our family recipe for Mango and Lemon Pickles 🙂

- I am Thankful for DESSERTS!
Rasmalai and Kulfi – are two of my all time favourites!!! This is a tiny packet of Happiness!
Again many memories from my past of enjoying these sweets with my family! Even today, A serving of these sweet dishes and I feel like all is well with life 🙂
