It’s not that time of the year unless you sit down and do some thinking, reflecting and planning.
So, this year I have decided to finally do something about my house and my life. I need to turn things around, but without actually doing any renovations or major make-overs. If like me you too are interested, then join me in my count down to a better, more holistic environment.
😊 And, this is just the right time to kick-start the plan to clear the house and the surroundings…do a mental and physical clearing of your personal space…..and begin the New Year on a fresh note with a higher vibration. And, if we begin now…the second weekend in October…we will have plenty of time to work on this over the weekends till we reach our goal of New Year.
My way, is to begin by making a large cup of steaming hot coffee, put my feet up, and then view my house. First, from my own perspective, and then from the perspective of an outsider who has just walked into my house. But, it is my view that is the important one. The one which counts.
Looking around my house, I first need to make a list of what I feel is wrong. Which room, which corner needs a make-over. And what just needs de-cluttering. And, not moving an inch from the couch, working on my strategy.
First off, clear out all the cobwebs (the physical and the mental!). Then, make another cup of coffee…or, whatever is your choice of brain buzz. Then open all the windows and doors of the house to let in the sunlight and the fresh breeze.
Then, comes the most important part…. The Space Clearing.
There are so many methods of Space Clearing…. choose the one you feel the most comfortable doing. All are very effective!

Ah I like the idea of sitting back and strategizing! I’m more of the jump in and do it types! Looking forward to the series.
The best part is planning I love the whole process behind it and the execution path after we plans
Isn’t planning the best part? Working on cleaning the house for New Year can be tiring, but I am always up for planning it.
I like the idea of sitting with the coffee and deciding how to plan things.
This year I have been determined to declutter and make my home a calm peaceful haven which helps me heal inside out. I would love to join you on your journey. How do I do that ?
Oh yes! All the mental planning before the actual work! I do that too! I have to visualize the outcome before I start the work. Decluterring, organizing and making space along the way. Both for my home and myself. It is that time of the year for sure…
I love to plan. I like how effortlessly you are planning to declutter your physical and mental space in this post. Best of luck. <3
Interesting post , decluttering is so important to make some space and get a new look .
I love this post and cleaning and decluttering is my favourite thing. How do I join?
I have been through home cleaning session last week for Diwali 🙂 Although, waiting for huge makeover. I need to include few indoor and outdoor additions to my plants hence waiting to plan it soon.
Strategizing is very important aspect here in which I usually fail. I like the whole idea of how to go about cleaning and decluttering
Once in a while we need change and what can be better than changing the decor of our home. Home makeover sounds very interesting.
Mental and physical cleaning both are needed. Love the idea of having proper plan before starting space cleaning
I would love to be a part and read more about this series. It’s been something on my mind and I read similar thoughts so was totally glad to read it.
I live with my relatives and so, my room is not entirely mine… There are a lot of stuff including wood and bricks under my bed… It’s a mess and full of dirt…
Was planning to arrange a few things though… Hopefully I will be able to declutter the room a bit!
Space clearing is necessary because cluttering things around bring negative energy in our house. Reading the purification article now.
That sounds like such an interesting way of home makeover and something that I can benefit from too. That picture of the mug and those matching PJs – is that you? I loved that picture. It’s so subtle and cute 🙂
Thanks for joining, #WordsMatter!
